Station Wildeman wins the Amsterdam Architecture Prize 2025
We’re thrilled to announce that our community center Station Wildeman was awarded the 18th Amsterdam Architecture Prize. The public jury, consisting of Tisja Korthals Altes, Josephine Jongbloed and Peter Dieleman, lauded the project for its “welcoming atmosphere and lightness, elevating the surroundings, and offering a sense of pride to the Wildeman neighboorhood as a whole”. The jury commends the “carefuly crafted design” and mentions the “power of the community center as the beating heart of the neighborhood: hopeful, connecting and filled with both pride and solidarity”. The jury concludes their report by stating that Station Wildeman sets an example that deserves to be followed in other parts of the city.
The professional jury awarded the prize to the National Holocaust Museum; designed by OFFICE WINHOV and commissioned by the Jewish Cultural Quarter. The honorable mention, the ‘Cri de Couer’, was awarded to ‘August’ a social housing complex designed by Team V and commissioned by housing corporation Ymere.
