Hoogveen
For the densification of the Hoogveen district in southwest The Hague, BETA joined forces with De Zwarte Hond and Architectuur MAKEN. Alongside a housing tower and a social housing block, BETA designed an elderly housing building centered around interaction and social sustainability. Its mass timber structure draws inspiration from Hertzberger’s Drie Hoven, with small squares woven throughout the building to foster encounters between residents.
