Station Wildeman nominated for Public Building of the Year Award

Station Wildeman nominated for Public Building of the Year!

We are delighted to announce that our neighborhood center is among the four nominees for this year’s public Building of the Year Award organized by Architectenweb. We’re in good company with the other nominees:

Fenix, Museum on Migration, Rotterdam – MAD, Bureau Polderman, EGM architects
Het Duivenhuis, Artis zoo, Amsterdam – ATELIERFRONT architectuur en interieur
Muziekwerf, Rotterdam – Powerhouse Company

“The jury is impressed by the positive energy emanating from the renovated community center and the team working there. The project truly makes a difference on the ground floor, where the building opens up to the neighborhood, offering everyone a warm welcome in the generous, open space.”

The jury consists of architect Christina Kaiser (Braaksma & Roos Architectenbureau), architect Metin van Zijl (Studioninedots), architect Maartje Nuy (Studio Nuy van Noort), landscape architect Hannah Schubert (B+B), architect Rob Meurders (diederendirrix) and photographer / architect Sebastian van Damme. The winner will be announced on Wednesday the 5th of November in the Keilepand in Rotterdam.

Station Wildeman is a project we made for Stichting Samenwonen-Samenleven and the people of the Wildeman neighborhood.
