For the podcast “Tower of Babel”, Evert Klinkenberg had a pleasant conversation with Daan Roggeveen; about high-rise buildings and their place in the work of BETA.

Amongst other topics, Evert and Daan discussed how physical exercise and social interaction find their place in our recently completed project Draaier op Oostenburg, a project which was in itself the direct result of BETA’s research into Active Design in Buildings. Research is a driving force at BETA, as such Evert and Daan also discussed the recent publication into multigenerational living and our upcoming research into mid-rise buildings. In this latest research we will focus on the intermediate scale and how this could be a welcome addition to the palette of inner-city densification schemes.
