VPRO Tegenlicht highlights intergenerational living

It is no secret that the demographics in many developed countries are changing rapidly. The question is how these societies will deal with the reality of an increasingly ageing population.

VPRO Tegenlicht made a documentary exploring different initiatives and how these address the inevitability of growing old. In the documentary, BETA’s Auguste van Oppen explains the idea behind intergenerational living and how we might need to rethink the way we shape our built environment. A brief introduction is also given of BETA’s upcoming book on intergenerational living. This book, made in collaboration with project developer AM is expected in the Fall of 2022.
